PostNL appoints Willem-Jan van Tongeren as Chief Information Officer

The Hague, Netherlands, 19 June 2024 – PostNL announces the appointment of Willem-Jan van Tongeren as Chief Information Officer (CIO) and member of the Executive Committee (EC), effective 1 September. Willem-Jan will succeed Jennifer Crites, who has accepted a new role at Zalando.

Willem-Jan van Tongeren has been with PostNL since 2000, holding various roles at the intersection of business and IT/digitalisation. As part of the IT management team, he has played a pivotal role in the company's cloud transition.

In the world of post and e-commerce, our IT capabilities are crucial. Willem-Jan will continue to work on further strengthening PostNL’s IT and digital capabilities in his new role.
