PostNL automated parcel lockers transformed into advent calendars

When residents collect their parcel from the transformed automated parcel lockers this week, they will find an extra parcel behind the door. From today until Thursday 21 December, these parcel lockers will be filled with gifts again and again.

Consumers can choose where to have their parcels delivered. This can be at their home, but also at other locations such as PostNL points, safe places around the house and at an automated parcel locker. An advantage of using the alternative delivery locations is that the deliverers have to drive fewer needless kilometres. This contributes to the environment and habitat.

Early next year, PostNL expects to install the 1,000th automated parcel locker. The goal is to expand this number to 1,500 by 2024, so that everyone in the Netherlands has a PostNL automated parcel locker nearby.
