The Hague, 18 November 2025 - As part of the government campaign ‘Denk vooruit’, PostNL will deliver the information booklet ‘Prepare for an emergency’ to more than 8.5 million households between 25 November and 10 January 2026. The booklet contains practical tips and examples to help people manage on their own for the first 72 hours in the event of an emergency. Yesterday, outgoing Minister Van Oosten (Justice and Security), on behalf of the cabinet, presented the information booklet at the PostNL headquarters.
Starting next week, PostNL will begin distributing the information booklet. The majority of the 8.5 million copies will be delivered this year, with a smaller portion to follow in the first days of the new year. PostNL plays an important role in connecting people and making information accessible to everyone, regardless of age, digital skills, or internet access.
Through its reliable postal infrastructure, PostNL has been delivering important documents such as vaccination invitations and voting passes for years. Even in times of crisis, the importance of this infrastructure becomes clear. The more than 22,000 colleagues who process and deliver mail every day feel this responsibility and ensure that this information reaches everyone.
