Among the top of the league for years

PostNL has operated at the very top of the transport sector’s most sustainable companies for years. CFO Linde Jansen says: “Sustainability is both a clear responsibility and  ambition for PostNL. We want to be a company that people are proud to work at, with, and for, and are committed to robust climate goals and transparency. By doing so, we aim not only to provide assurance but also to raise the bar for a fair supply chain and a cleaner environment. Together with our partners and customers, we strive to make a positive impact on society.”

Broad commitment to sustainability

The recent DJSI assessment shows that PostNL performs exceptionally well in the areas of environment and climate. PostNL has achieved near-maximum scores for its climate strategy, earning recognition as a sector leader. To reinforce these sustainability ambitions, PostNL has further expanded its electric fleet, now driving more than 2.5 million electric kilometres each month. In addition, PostNL consistently invests in sustainable, energy-efficient buildings.

PostNL also scores highly on social topics such as human rights, human capital management, and customer relations. The company aims to be a good employer, with a strong focus on equal opportunities, safety, and an open culture. In the area of governance, PostNL achieved the highest possible score for transparency and reporting. This demonstrates PostNL’s broad commitment to act responsible and future-proof.

Continuing to improve for a sustainable future

Although PostNL is among the world’s leaders, the company continues to evolve. International sustainability standards are raised every year. On topics such as biodiversity, information security, and supplier assessment, PostNL sees opportunities for further improvement. Together with all employees, the company is working to further build on a sustainable future.
