PostNL announces its intention to reappoint Herna Verhagen as CEO

The Hague - The Supervisory Board of PostNL intends to reappoint Herna Verhagen for a four-year term as CEO and Chair of the Board of Management of PostNL during the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders in 2019.

Jan Nooitgedagt, Chair of the Supervisory Board of PostNL: “We are very pleased that Herna is again available as CEO of the company in this important phase. PostNL is implementing a strategic transformation to become the postal and e-commerce logistic solutions provider of choice in the Benelux. In addition, important steps have been taken to achieve consolidation in the Dutch postal market soon. Herna’s knowledge, experience and network are instrumental to lead these developments. The intended reappointment ensures continuity and supports the transition of PostNL in the next years.”

H.W.P.M.A. (Herna) Verhagen (1966, the Netherlands) joined one of the legal predecessors of PostNL in 1991 as a sales manager. Following roles as included Marketing & Sales director, coordinating managing director Mail NL in the Mail division and managing director Group HR of TNT.

Herna Verhagen became Chief Executive Officer on 24 April 2012. Prior to this, she had served as member of the Board of Management of PostNL N.V. since 31 May 2011. In April 2015 the Supervisory Board reappointed her for a second term of four years as member of the Board of Management. This appointment expires at the end of the following General Meeting of Shareholders in 2019.
